Welcome to ChefScribe! These Terms of Service explain how you may use our website, app, and Chrome extension. By using ChefScribe, you agree to follow these terms.

1. What ChefScribe Does

ChefScribe helps you turn YouTube cooking videos into clear, easy-to-read written recipes using AI. Our summaries are interpretations, not copies. We always link back to the original creator’s video.

ChefScribe is for personal and educational use only.

2. Your Account

To save recipes, you may create an account.

You agree to:

• Keep your login details secure
• Only use ChefScribe for your own personal use
• Not share or resell access to your account

We may suspend accounts that misuse the service or violate these terms.

3. Fair Use & Copyright

All YouTube videos, thumbnails, content, and recipes belong to their original creators.

ChefScribe:

• Does not download or store YouTube videos
• Does not reproduce copyrighted content
• Creates AI-generated summaries based on what appears in the video
• Includes a link back to the original video to support the creator

If you share a recipe publicly, you must credit the creator and include the video link.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use ChefScribe for bulk scraping or automated data extraction
• Redistribute creators’ content as your own
• Claim ChefScribe’s AI summaries are official versions of the recipe
• Use ChefScribe for commercial content republishing

ChefScribe is meant to help you cook — not to replace creators.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

If you subscribe to ChefScribe Pro:

• Payments are handled securely by Stripe
• We do not store your payment details
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

6. Privacy

We only collect the minimum information needed to run ChefScribe. Your data is stored securely and never sold or shared with advertisers.

7. Service Availability

We do our best to keep everything running smoothly, but:

• AI results may not always be perfect
• Features may change over time
• Access may be interrupted for maintenance or updates
• We cannot guarantee 100% uptime

8. Liability

ChefScribe is provided “as-is.”

We are not responsible for:

• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated recipes
• Any cooking mishaps, damages, injuries, or food-related issues
• Copyright disputes caused by improper sharing of content
• Loss of data or account access

You use ChefScribe at your own discretion and risk.
