No. Free includes 6 recipe extractions each month and does not require a payment card. You choose whether to upgrade.

What is the difference between monthly and yearly Pro?

Both offer up to 50 recipe extractions per day. Monthly costs £4.99 each month. Yearly costs £48 upfront for the year — equivalent to £4 per month, saving £11.88 against 12 monthly payments.

How do I upgrade?

Open the ChefScribe web app, sign in to the account you use for ChefScribe, and choose the upgrade option. Select monthly or yearly billing there and check your order before paying.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You can cancel future renewal. Pro access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

Are meal planning and shopping lists available?

Yes, both are live in the web app. Check the plan information in the app for the current access and limits for your account.

Will every video turn into a recipe?

No. ChefScribe works best with cooking videos that clearly explain ingredients, quantities and steps in a usable transcript. YouTube Shorts are not supported. Check the extracted card against the original video before cooking.

Can I use ChefScribe on my iPhone?

You can access the web app in your browser. The dedicated iPhone app is coming soon and is not available to download yet. The Chrome extension is for desktop Chrome.
